So here's the start of the blog. I hope it continues, but I make no promises.
I've got two cameras and a mixture of lenses, so what happens next, who knows?
Today we went on a short drive to Majuba Beach, just over a mile. I'll find a way to add a link with a map to my posts.
I took the 24-100mm and the fixed 100mm (which I've hardly ever used) for a little test. However, despite fairly bright sunshine, the wind that's common in the area was bitterly cold, so we didn't stay out very long.
I'm also struggling to find the best settings for the camera. It turns out that watching multiple YouTube and TikTok videos about camera settings is probably just as confusing as it is helpful.
Some of the settings seem reasonable, but others result in much more blurred or dark images than I'd expect.
I'll try to add a blog post each time I add some more content, but I'm not sure how reliable I am.
If/when I add some of my older photos (I have 20 years worth), I don't know if I should add them to the blog dated when I took them, or when I posted them, probably the latter, but let me know if you think I should backdate the posts.
